Margaritas Bar in Ohakune is great all the time. You can go in when the mountain is closed, the friendly staff usually open then, and on the weekends for yummy breakfast, and lunches. Cater for kids. They have games to keep the kids busy, tvs everywhere to see sky tv sport, and the feature of the restaurant is the huge open fire. Their coffees are always perfect, and the mulled wine is the best I have tasted. On the menu, lovely dishes, plus the Mexican food, which is cooked to perfection. We kept seeing the waitresses take these fantastic looking Margaritas to the tables. Great place to go for the whole family, and they take large groups. Also after the dinner hour, the bartenders are kept busy with the apres skiers and snowboarders. They have an MP3 music selection with the latest music. Most nights they stay open until 3am, and you will find different specials through the week. Think the bar is so busy because a lot of the local mountain staff drink and hang out there.
